SHERWOOD PARK - The Sherwood Park Knights announced Friday the resignation of head coach Tyler Steele, effective immediately.
A member of the Knights for five seasons after taking on the role of head coach in 2020, Steele has been an integral part of building the Knights culture and commitment to the Sherwood Park community. Steele’s departure comes after a successful 2024/2025 season which saw the Knights win the Eastern division and clinch a spot in the 2025 Provincial Championships.
With Steele’s resignation, general manager Ryan Agar has named Dave Cicchini as the clubs’ new head coach. Assistant coach Dave McCrimmon will remain in his current role while fellow assistants Bryce Bader and Connor Hart are not returning.
The Knights would like to thank Tyler for his dedication and unwavering commitment to the team for the past five seasons and wish him and his family all the best in the future.
